லொஸ்கு

"Nothing is real" என்ற Beatles பாடலை விக்கிரமாதித்தன் பாடிக்கொண்டு வந்தான்.
"என்ன பாட்டெல்லாம் பலமா இருக்கு" என்றது வேதாளம்.
"ஒண்ணுமில்லை, சும்மா தான்"
"ஒண்ணுமில்லையா?"
"ஒண்ணுமில்லைதான் ஆனா ஒண்ணுமில்லையிலே ஏகப்பட்டது இருக்கு"
"சரி ஒரு முடிவோட வந்துட்டே சொல்லிதொலை" என்றது வேதாளம்.

ஆங்கிலத்தில் 'நத்திங்'(Nothing), 'நாட் எனிதிங்(not anything) என்று பொருள். தமிழில் ஒன்றுமில்லை. இந்த 'ஒன்றுமில்லாத'தற்கு நிறைய சொற்கள் இருக்குறது - காலியான, பூச்சியம், வெறுமை, அவாந்தரம், சூனியம், சுத்தசூனியம், ஒன்றுமில்லை, பூரை, லொஸ்கு, ஆகாசமயம்..

பார்க்கப் போனால் எல்லா துறைகளிலும் இந்த 'நத்திங்' இருக்கிறது. ஆங்கில அகராதியில் இதற்கு என்ன பொருள் என்று பார்த்தால் - nil, none, nulliform, nullity, noughts... என்று ஒரு பெரிய பட்டியலே இருக்கிறது.

சுருக்கமாக ஒன்றுமில்லாததில் எல்லாம் இருக்கிறது - பூச்சியம்/ஸைபர்(Zero/Chiper), ஸீரோ பாய்ண்ட்ஸ்(Zero points), ஸீரோ ஹார்(Zero Hour), வெற்றிடம்(vacuous), காலியான(void), சூனியப்பிரதேசம்(vacuum), nihilist(எதிலும் நம்பிக்கை இல்லாதவர்கள்), nihilarians(முக்கியமில்லாததில் ஈடுபடுவர்கள்), nihilagents( ஒன்றும் செய்யாதவர்கள்),nullifideans(எந்த மதத்திலும் நம்பிக்கையில்லாதவர்கள் ) nonentities( இல்லாத ஒன்று) nobody(ஒருவருமில்லை ) என்று பட்டியல் நீள்கிறது. செய்திதாள்களில் ' Zeros' பற்றி கேள்விப்பட்டிருப்பீர்கள் அவை Zero dividend preference sharesசை குறிக்கும்.

நமக்கு புரியாத சுற்றிவளைக்கப்பட்ட ஸீரோக்களும் இருக்கிறது. உதாரணம் டென்னிஸில் 'love'; இந்த 'love'வை கொஞ்சம் ஆராய்ந்தால், அது ஃபிரென்சில் "l'oeuf' என்ற வார்த்தையின் மறு. ஃபிரன்சில் l'oeuf என்றால் முட்டை என்று பொருள். பூச்சியத்தின் வடிவம். சிலருக்கு முட்டை என்றால் கணக்கு மார்க் ஞாபகம் வரலாம். எது எப்படியோ லவ் என்றால் பூச்சியம் என்பது உண்மை. அதாவது உங்கள் பர்ஸ் காலியாகும் ஆகும். இதே போல் - கிரிகெட்டில் 'nought'; ஸாக்கரில் 'nil';

cipher என்ற சொல் இன்னும் கொஞ்சம் சுவாரசியமானது. அது பூஜ்யத்தையும், சங்கேத பாஷையின் குறியீட்டை(க்ளு) குறிக்கும் சொல்லாக இருக்கிறது. இதை வைத்துக்கொண்டு ஒரு சின்ன விளையாட்டு

"U 0 a 0, but I 0 thee
O 0 no 0, but O 0 me.
O let not my 0 a mere 0 go,
But 0 my 0 I 0 thee so."

டிஸைபர்(decipher) செய்தால் என்ன வரும் என்பது கடைசியில்

ஒன்றுமில்லாதது எல்லாம் ஒன்றுமில்லை என்று ஒதுக்கமுடியாது. சிலவற்றுக்கு சிறப்பு பொருள் உண்டு. ஃபிரன்ச் ஹுகினாட்ஸ்(huguenots) லூயி(Louis) XIV மன்னரிடம் தப்பித்து சென்றபோது தங்களுடைய பெயரை 'Nimmo' என்று வைத்துக்கொண்டனர். ne mot என்ற லத்தீன் சொல்லிலிருந்து வந்தது Nimmo. 'அனாமிகா' போல் பெயரற்ற என்று பொருள். கிரேக்கம், கிறுத்துவம், வேதம் ஏல்லாவற்றிலும் இந்த ஒன்றுமில்லாதது இருக்கிறது.

பூச்சியம் என்ற வட்டவடிவம்
உயர்த்தியது எண்களை பத்துமடங்கு
நெற்றியிலிட்ட வட்ட பொட்டால்
கூடியது அவள் அழகு பத்துமடங்கு

என்ற சமஸ்கிருத கவிதை ஒன்று இருக்கிறது !

இப்படி ஒவ்வொரு துறையிலும் இந்த ஒன்றுமில்லாததை பார்த்தால் ஏதோ ஒன்றை விளக்குவதற்கு ஏற்பட்ட சொல் நாளடைவில் பல முக்கியமானவற்றை விளக்க பயன்படுத்தப்பட்டது என்பது புரியும்.

இயற்பியலில் வெற்றிடம்(Vacuum) முதலில் ஒன்றுமில்லாத இடத்தை குறித்தது, பிறகு Augustine அதை கிட்டத்தட்ட ஒன்றுமில்லை என்றார் பிறகு அது வாயுமண்டலத்திற்கு மேற்பட்ட பரந்த ஆகாயவெளியில் (ether) மிதந்தது. ஐன்ஸ்டீனிடம் அது மறைந்துபோனது, பிறகு இருபதாம் நூற்றாண்டில் கிவாண்டம் துறையில் இயற்கையை விளக்குகிறது.

எழுத்தாளர்களும் இந்த ஒன்றுமில்லாததை விட்டு வைக்கவில்லை. எல்பர்ட் ஹப்பார்டு (Elbert Hubbard) "Essay on Silence" என்ற புத்தகத்தில் வெறும் வெத்துப்பக்கங்கள் இருந்தது. 1974ல் பல பதிப்புக்கள் கண்ட "The Nothing book" என்ற புத்தகத்திலும் வெறும் வெத்துப்பக்கங்கள். வேடிக்கை என்னவென்றால் மற்றொரு வெற்றுபுத்தகத்தின் ஆசிரியர் இவர் மேல் காப்பிரைட் வழக்கு தொடர்ந்ததுதான்.

'போலோ மிண்ட்'டில் (Polo Mint) போலோவைவிட அதன் ஒன்றுமில்லாத ஓட்டையைதான் அவர்கள் கடந்த நாற்பது வருடமாக மார்கெட்டிங் செய்துள்ளார்கள். ஷேக்ஸ்பியர் இந்த நத்திங்கை வைத்து நிறைய விளையாடியிருக்கார். "Much Ado About Nothing" என்ற அவரது நாடகம் ரொம்ப பிரசித்தம். அவருடைய நாடகத்தில் நிறைய இடத்தில் இதை ஆராய்ந்துள்ளார். உதாரணத்திற்கு

"Is this nothing?
Why, then the world and all that's in't is nothing;
My wife is nothing; nor nothing have these nothings,
If this be nothing"

ஜேம்ஸ் பாண்ட் 007 என்ற நம்பருகும் முன்னும் ஒன்றுமில்லாத அந்த ஸீரோக்கள் இருக்கிறது !.

நீங்கள் இதை படிக்கும் சமயம் உங்கள் கணினி எவ்வளவு 'null operation' செய்கிறது என்று யோசித்து பாருங்கள்.

மேலே சொன்னதை டிஸைபர் செய்தால் கிடைக்கும் விடை:
